Centralizing activities on the Internet

Posted by: Marcelo Galvani In: General

I have tested some interesting options to centralize my activities on the Internet. Two of them turned to the aggregation of posts from different sites and two others to distribute to some sites that write in others.

Starting with the second case, I used the Switchabit.com.

It directs I have my posts in Twitter and the MarceloGalvani.com to my blog on Blogspot.

Here's the result here.

The other option is that I'm still testing the Ping.fm. You register its various sites and write once, so, but unlike the previous option, you must write the actual site of Ping.fm. Still, worth taking a look.

The two other tools, the Friendfeed and Profilactic, serve to aggregation of content. In theory they should display the same information because they are monitoring sites. I created a page here on the site called Lifestream to display the information generated by both. One interesting difference is that the Profilactic mount a "Where do I find online," nothing very difficult to do manually, but it's always good when it comes ready. ;-)

One additional tip, if pay attention to the Lifestream, you'll see a series of appearances next to the symbol.

It is the symbol of StumbleUpon, a site that allows the sharing of bookmarks. The most interesting is that the plugin for Firefox it writes an entry in your bookmarks whenever you like a site says. Furthermore, it categorizes the site in accordance with the tags of his own StumbleUpon, avoiding work to think about which place each folder ...

To supplement, use as a synchronizer of the Foxmarks bookmarks between computers. It also helps when you need some online.

That is ... If you try to do something, good luck!
